smartPACK-L7: NH3 compact units
DESIGNED – ENGINEEERED – PRODUCED IN AUSTRIA
The machines are designed in accordance with the latest state-of-the-art by our experts in our headquarters in Lauterach/Vorarlberg, then engineered in 3D-CAD and prepared for manufacture.
Assembly then takes place at our production sites in Lauterach or Theresienfeld, near Wiener Neustadt.
Commissioning takes place via our own trained NH3 specialist staff to ensure reliable, extremely efficient operation.
Our 12 service centres in the DACH region ensure short reaction times and excellent after-sales service.
The WATER series is optimised for classic cold water usage within the building technology sector. Its compact design with two compressors, as well as its hermetically sealed cooling circuit, ensure exceptional levels of unit safety combined with a large range of power outputs and very high efficiency on a compact footprint.
Flooded evaporators are used for cold water generation, and these can be operated with a variable volumetric flow. Together with separate heat recovery usage from oil cooling and NH3 as a natural refrigerant, our smartPACK-L7 reduces your CO2 footprint greatly whilst also demonstrating levels of sustainability that go beyond any comparable system on the market.

BRINE is a design that prepares cold brines that are often used in food companies, the pharmaceuticals industry, or in logistics within cold stores. With outlet temperatures of up to -8°C, the liquid cooler is also perfect for use in operating ice storage systems for storing solar power.
The variability in temperature and output mean that the BRINE series is an extremely efficient generator of cold brine featuring detachable, cassette-welded heat exchangers and also that cleaning work can be carried out on them, which is not possible with fully welded systems available on the market.

The HEAT version of heat pumps is optimised for low-temperature heating systems up to +45°C; groundwater or geothermal probes can be used as an energy source. The aggregates can also be delivered as a version with cooling and heating operation that can be switched around on the water side.
Waste heat from oil cooling is immediately transferred to heating and can optionally be used in cooling operations by means of heat recovery. This waste heat can reach temperatures of up to +60°C and is suitable for generating warm water. As ammonia is an efficient refrigerant, it is possible to achieve particularly high outputs with extremely low fill quantities for maximum efficiency.

The AIR version provides the option of using NH3 as a refrigerant even if an installation room is not available: the aggregate is designed for outdoor use and is supplied as a ready-to-install unit.
Waste heat is released into the air. Recooling takes place with an adiabatic PAD [TF1] condenser so that cooling can be produced extremely efficiently and safely even at very high air temperatures, which is when the aggregate has to provide the highest levels of performance. Sound-optimised housing and quiet fans round off the features of this solution.

Our turnkey “plug&play” smartPACK-L7 container variant is available with outputs from 300kW to 1,500kW.
It can be quickly installed in sound-insulated and air-conditioned containers with all safety equipment, and optionally comes with a hydraulic module and a fitted condenser/heat exchanger, meaning that only the electrics and hydraulics have to be connected. Then it is ready to use![TF1] Ideal for all applications where there is no in-house NH3 machinery room available or where the location has to be changed several times.
